Wish I never updated it. Used to play .mkv and .mp4 files with ease and now appears bricked pending the next update.

Movist is the best video player so far on mac OS X. I have tried various kinds of video players that are available on mac. This one has the best performance and no bugs that are noticable. Lyrics are beautiful and easily managebale. Recommended.

I’ve been using Movist app as the default media player since it was launched . I like the Continuous update and support from the developer Keep up the amazing work .

Movist is a great video player. Very simple to use, yet it provides a good number of options. Very smooth playback on all the formats I ever tested. Definitively top notch. One of the best (if not the best) player I’ve used so far! Well worth the asking price IMVHO.

This player in many ways is perfect. Flexible, Smooth, Stable. The UI is perfect with per-Yosemite system, however, it need an update to make the UI consistence with Yosemite. Except the functionality, UI consistence is my top concern for a Mac App. I am even willing pay another 5 dollars for the UI update.

Translator does not appear

I’ve tried many video players on OS X. And Movist appears the best one. It works fast and smooth and even reads broken video files. Must have! Movist just lacks media keys support, and that is a huge mistake. And the second inconvinience is that movist can’t play all files from the folder. Let’s say I have folder with tv show episodes named with sequence numbers. If I play the first one, I expect when it will reach to the end of file, Movist will play the second one. But it don’t. It just stops. I have to manually add those files into it before I play any of it and that very inconvinient behaviour, which leads to a bunch of extra actions.

the program doesn’t turn the merged subtitle with mkv type videos.

Great work. I’ve been waiting for the embedded subtitles fix. Thanks.

Please add support for the Arabic language

This is a great app, but it should be easier to launch the navigation.

I like Movist which meet my most requirements. The reason why I rate it for 3 stars is that I hope the author can update the user interface of Movist to adapt to Yosemite.

I’m hoping the Movist UI and icon will be updated for Yosemite. Also videos played on the new Retina iMac screen start at half the size. If I open a 720p or 1080p resolution video, I have to select “double size” for the window size to make it look normal. If you’re on a Retina iMac, open the same resolution file in both Quicktime and then Movist, Movist is half the size. Thanks Very Much

My favourite media player with lots of customizations! The developer is very helpful even if the issue is not quite related to Movist itself! Thank you :D You can always give suggestions/ report bugs within the app.

Hi, so far I like the app, but wanted to now if this supports Crhomecast already or is in plans for next version ?

It is great for playing smoothly any kind of video files and It has good interface. But some embedded subtitles doesn’t seen perfectly. It’s fonts, colours, sizes and loaction dosen’t applied to screen. That’s the only discontent at this app.
