Great App But Little Communications
It’s probably one of the best video apps available in the Appstore. Dedicated subtitle supports and options, sublime interface and again with options, good enough performance. I’m sure everyone knows what they are ought to expect by simply looking at screenshots.
Movist support website is still offline; it has never been operational. I don’t understand why would the developers want to register a URL that is not relevant to Movist. There is a Korean blog owned by one of the developers(found it after some googling), but it seems s/he does not answer to any English questions. It might have been better if they had simply tagged that very blog instead of non-working website.
Another concern I have is that the developers were expecting to release 2.0 version soon, and that was back in 2014. We are looking at the end of year 2015, and supposedly 1.3s and 1.4s were meant to be temporary bug fix update. Yosemite is released and now out-dated by El Capitan, meaning, it’s totally off the schedule now. I have high hopes of the new version, but again, I could use some updates on the matter. If necessary, I won’t even mind paying upgrade fee for the new version. It’s been about 4 years with one-time payment, and I won’t mind paying upgrade fee after 4 good years.
All in all, App itself is perfect. I simply want there to be more communication between developers and users.
