The best app that shows Arabic translation, that’s why most comments are arabic. Well, the App is 5 stars, however, there is a bad bug on it. Some times, a small dialog appears saying “The screen shots path has not specified”, or something similar, I think it appears when I press the key for taking screen shot, however, when this dialog appear, and while the application is maximized to the full scree, the dialog apperas behing the screen, so we can’t press anything, because the screen itself is locked, and the dialog is not at the top of the screen.

For now it is my default video player until something better comes along.

Pretty tired of Movist problems which seem to vary from bad to worse after every update. Right now when I try to open an MKV file there is no audio and the video sometimes freezes or else the whole thing will just not open. No consistency with the problems either. I have finally reverted to MPlayerX which in the past has also had problem but seems to be currently the more stable of the two.

Best video player I’ve ever seen. BUT. 1. Please add some information about video e.g. resolution and format. 2. When playing video from NAS subtitles are not loading automatically. 3. Bug with full screen.

I have a few videos where the sound is lopsided and switches from one speaker to the other. I’d love it if you could include support for mono, ie merging the two streams and playing them equally between both speakers. Thank you!

This app is one of greatest Mac App player , there is no laggy issue while playing video , it support many of subtitle file type , I like it much : )

Still doesnt seem to read subtitles embedded in .m4v files, even after quite a few updates. Really appreciate that you can increase the volume beyond 100%. Much better looking and ‘cleaner’ than free alternatives. Usually plays almost any video thrown at it, but tends to ‘stutter’ a bit (even on a high end system) with certain file types. Still waiting for the developer to add back in the ability to use Quicktime X for decoding.

whenever I change speed and back to 1.0 sometimes audio gets muted I have to jump back and forth to get the audio back on reinstall, OS X wipe and reinstall, doesn’t resolve the issue 속도를 바꿧다가 1.0으로 돌릴때 소리가 않나는 상황이 나오네요 재설치도 해보고 OS 재설치도 해봤는데 그러네요

Crashes a lot. Please fix it

I love this app but unfortunatley it doesn’t read subtitles in Arabic which means I can’t use it, please fix it.

Don’t buy it guys. It does not fix any crash and freeze issue when playing video files. With this update this player is broken so much. From 4 out of 10 files it crash therefore report screen come up so random. Can’t use this app any more…. Please fix this issue fast...

Fixed fullscreen issue? I’ve checked, and it’s still there. Keep trying for a next few years.. :/

I love the app, and I use it all the time. The only thing missing is the function to remember the caption speed. Sometimes I have to adjust the speed of the caption, then when I open the file again, I have to readjust the speed again, which is very annoying. It would be so much easier if the app can remember the caption speed I used last time.

Everyone loves this movist app except me. Movist is not automatically loading with subtitle .smi on my El Capitan MBP. I was posting my problem to developer directly. No answer at all. I just need quick response only. Anyone has same isse like me?

Hello i like this app but when i update to the last update it’s not working i saw this massage : “Movist” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Movist” and download it again from the App Store i delete it and download it again but it’s still not working plzzzz help me : my mac version is : 10.9.5 thank u

I Have Tested Many Media Player Apps (MplayerX, VLC,MPV,…) and I found Movist is the Best Media Player for Mac. It is Fast, Great Quality Video Playback with Nice Interface and easy on CPU. It Works Fine with El Capitan. The Only Problem That I Have with the Application It is a Litte Bugy. Sometimes I Need to Force Close it and it Crached when Existing the Navigation Menu. Thank you for your Work. Waiting for updates to polish the Bugs.

it worked ok so far, but after i updated the os to el captain, it stopped working. i will update this review once the error is fixed.
